Last weekend, John and I went to see Wicked the Musical (http://www.wickedthemusical.com/) at the TPAC (http://www.tpac.org/) here in Nashville. We've had tickets for a few months now - unfortunately, when we bought them we didn't realize that we would have to miss the MSU/Vandy game that was here.... :(On a happier note, if you get the chance to see this show while they're touring, it is well worth it. It's basically the story of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Glenda, the Good Witch of the North, before they became bitter enemies. Believe it or not, they were friends once upon a time. The story also clues you in as to why Elphaba is so green! The apparatus they used for the "great and powerful Oz" was pretty neat as well - and a little scary. Since you're not allowed to take pics inside the show, I got these off the Internet. Again, this show is a "must see" for those who enjoy live performances! Great story and impressive effects!!
